These kind of games are a lot like a rogue-like Dark And Darker Gold. What is the purpose of doing run after run? To get horizontal progression. Stash upgrades, hideout upgrades, keys, quest completion, passive skill increases, more roubles... And aside from that, there's the PvP, which spices it all up to eleven.

Currently, all Dark and Darker has is the PvP. It has almost no meaningful horizontal progression at all, aside from amassing wealth to spend on gear in case you die. By all accounts, Dark and Darker is more of a PvP battle royale brawler at the moment, with a bit of hardcore looter sprinkled in. And if you've watched some of those leaderboard grinder streams, it was easy to see that what I'm saying is the truth. Most of those games, people were mostly focused on roaming the map looking for fights and surviving the circle, which is typical Battle Royale gameplay, while looting was secondary.

Most people here are aware of how to cheese mobs, whether it's body blocking, pavise strats, stealth isn't instant, etc., but what about some lesser known tips and tricks you've seen or used, but don't really see anyone mention? PvP, PvE, Boss tips are all good.

I'll start with a few.

Ghost King: When he launches his "Fireballs", or "Ghost Orbs", you can avoid these by crouching or jumping at the right time. This isn't uncommon knowledge. What I have yet to see anyone mention, however, is that if you fail to dodge an orb, it floats up into the air and lands at the point of impact, leaving an Ectoplasm puddle similar to their teleport. For lesser geared runs, dodging these should be considered as important as jumping, if you want your melee classes to be able to do any damage past the fights halfway point.
