There are two ways how to connect printer to WiFi. The first one is to use a wireless router and the second one is to use a wireless access point. A wireless router transmits data wirelessly, so it needs to be connected with an Ethernet cable to your printer. In this case, you will also need a power outlet nearby because the router usually needs power even when not in use.
